How did you start your day!?

 In blog, ILEAD 2016

What do you (or we) do this morning :)!?
How about finding materials, building a raft and sending it off to the Kineret? Sounds like a typical way to start the day on ILEAD!
Top it off with understanding how the Tanach, Shaul and Har Hagilboa connect and end it off with mind games and intellectual challenges. You have a well balanced day.

See below blog post from Joseph Habert and Joyce Shalam on Day 8 of ILEAD. Pics follow right after.

“Today we started off our day by waking up at 6:30, had minyan at 7 and a tanach lesson at 7:30. After that we had a delicious breakfast and then got on the bus to learn how to build a raft on a beach on the east side of the kineret.
We split up into 5 groups and combined our skills, worked together and used teamwork to build the raft. We used bamboo, string and barrels as the materials for the raft. One person from each team was stranded and waiting on a raft in the middle of the kineret for their team to get them. Everyone did such a great job and after that we all went swimming. We had hotdogs, salad, and fries for lunch and then got on the bus.

We got off at a windmill to refill our shluckers with water and then went to Har Hagilboa to learn  some history about the mountain and used the tanach as a Biblical reference. After that we had Mincha and got on the bus to go back to the hostel. The counselors told us that soon we would be heading to our night activity – shadmot devorah without them to do mind games and a labyrinth. When we got there we split up into 2 groups and were challenged to figure out how to do different mind games which we all did successfully. After a long and tiring day, we got back at the hostile at around 10:30. ”
