The Sartaba is one of the mountains on which the Jewish people would light torches to announce Rosh Hodesh. It is also located “over the green line.” What does that mean for us? We had lots of time to contemplate that, as we hiked up the steep mountain, and breathed sighs of relief as we finally made it to the top.
