Meet the Staff

Good Morning –
The Pioneers are currently on Survivor week – More details and photos on their journey coming this week!
For today’s ILEAD installment, we wanted to introduce you to our ILEAD Staff. Each one is a superstar and have a unique offering for the Pioneers.
See below background on each and a photo of those you trusted your kids with 😉 –

Reuel Cassel 34, is married with 3 children. Lives in Yeruham. Reuel has an intimate connection with the land of Israel as he spends many nights throughout the year sleeping under the stars as he teaches groups to how become more in touch with their inner selves through contact with nature and the outdoors. Reuel has been working in guiding and education for over a decade. After this summer, your children will never look at the land of Israel the same way again.

Rae Freedman 24, grew up in Jerusalem and is currently a nursing student. A lot of the meaningful activities done on Ilead are to her credit as she can come up with one at the drop of a hat. Rae emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions, and her heart to heart talks with the campers lead them to introspect. Ilead is lucky to have this former army officer of education on the team. This is Rae’s second year working with Ilead.

Netanel Oberman 25, grew up in Efrat. He has spent the past two years working with Israeli youth in a pre military academy. Netanel knows how to strike the perfect balance between seriousness and fun. He enjoys having deep conversations and helps the kids uncover the many different layers of themselves and of life. This is his second year working with Ilead.

Adele Chabot 28, has been working with Ilead for the past 5 years and provides the kids with extra Syrian mom love and care. Her tanach shiurim on the tops of biblical mountains builds the kids’ sense of identity as she points out that they are not only members of the Syrian community, but they are part of the larger story of Am Yisrael that is still being written. Adele fulfilled one lifelong dream when she made aliya to Jerusalem two years ago and is currently fulfilling another as she gets her tour guiding license.

Timna Achituv 25, is married and lives in Haifa. Timna is currently studying occupational therapy. Timna comes to us after having served in the IDF as a Hebrew education commander and after having completed Shvil Yisrael, a hiking trail which spans from the north to the south of the country. She is unique in the she seamless and effortless way in which she connects with other people and makes them feel comfortable. The ileaders love sharing their everyday concerns with her as they know they can always find a listening ear.

Meir Coleman 28, grew up in the Golan. He currently lives in Jerusalem and works in security. Meir makes the stressful job of managing Ilead’s logistics seem easy with his easygoing and upbeat personality. When your kids come home and start helping with the laundry and the cleaning, you can thank him!

Shlomo Nuriel- Has been ILEAD’s driver since its inception. Other than knowing the roads of the country like the back of his hand, Shlomo knows how to keep us cool and energized with cut fruit and refreshing lemonade after a hike. Shlomo’s big heart has made him one of ILEAD’s favorite staff members.
