ILEAD 2019: Learning the Golan Heights… Through Legs

 Good Morning!

Tuesday the Pioneers hiked at the Golan heights in Zavitan valley for 8 hours!

(Context: The Zavitan Stream is the longest stream in the Golan Heights. Zavit in Hebrew means angle and the stream got its name due to the different angles at which the water flows. Along the trail of the Zavitan stream are beautiful waterfalls, tens of pools that are shaded by flora and a steep climb. )

The Pioneers jumped and swam inside deep natural pools and filled their water bottles from a fresh spring. (Check out vids on this below)

They climbed the steep way up and learned about the geology of the Golan. At the spring they learned how to  ‘meditate’ together while a flute was being played.
