ILEAD 2019 – Am I my Brother’s Keeper?

Good Morning!

On Wednesday, the Pioneers had the opportunity to visit a landfill near Beit Sh’an. They had a discussion about enviromental issues and taking resposnsibility for our acts. They understood the ‘ripple’ effect of their actions not only locally but throughout a country. 

Later in the day they had the opportunity to understand a fresh perspective on ideology and what it means to choose a place to live not simply by community or work but rather by ideological location. They discussed why settlers and farmers take positions and build their families in locations in Israel simply to protect our land and build it further from our surrounding neighbors.

Finally, they had the opportunity to contribute to the lifestyle of those sacrificing for our country and nation. They build a shade location (this is part of their first project that they raised money for) for a retrieve and a resting stop for the local people.

They discussed and understand that to fix the original statement By Kayin:

 הֲשֹׁמֵ֥ר אָחִ֖י אָנֹֽכִי: Am I my brother’s keeper?

That yes, we are our brother’s keeper and anyway we can step up and help, we will.

They had an intense two days so today we will be journey to the ‘Sachne’ so they can enjoy the fresh springs and beautiful views….
